Class Action

Class Action

Class actions are designed to resolve complex lawsuits involving large numbers of individuals. Often, the claim of a single class member, even though significant, is not large enough to economically justify individual litigation. Thus, where the nature of each person’s claim has overlapping common issues, we seek court approval to treat the case as a class action. In this way, thousands of people can be represented and helped in a case in which they do not need to be a named party. The named plaintiffs are referred to as class representatives. Class representatives work with the attorneys during the course of the case as is necessary. The time commitment of a class representative is reasonable and the experience rewarding. At the conclusion of every settled case, Birka-White Law Offices requests that the Court grant a reasonable payment, to the class representative for their valuable contribution to the class members as a whole.
